We had a pretty big storm come thru on Friday night… the park is usually not this full of branches. Gotta love mother nature, right?

4th of July on Pelican Lake

We spent the weekend at our lake cabin on Lake Pelican… I absolutely love going to the lakes for the weekend, or even for a night. Its so relaxing and so much fun! This past weekend was such a blur.. it went by WAY too fast. We had beautiful warm sunny weather, couldn't ask for anything better.

SOOOOO much fun!

Then the skies got a little dark... and then ...

But that didnt stop the fireworks from starting.. (we were sitting in our boat, out in the middle of the lake.. the water was so calm, we should have known something was about to happen)…   started them 15 minutes early... (love the water swirl colors in this one)

we got back to the dock just in time.. the winds went from  0 mph to 50+  mph winds  within a matter of seconds.. literally. But the time we we about 20 yards from the boat lift the winds had already picked up speed. We had a tough time getting the boat in, but was eventually successful. Lots of manual labor to pull it in safe.

Brycen turns 3!!!

My little bud Brycen just turned 3! I love him and miss him dearly… He has the cutest little smile, the funniest faces, and is in love with riding his tractor. It started sprinkling while I visited, but it didn’t get him down… he hardly noticed the rain. He was too busy running wild :)
