Sam + Danielle

Sam and Danielle had a large winter wedding planned in December, but much like every 2020 couple, their plans changed drastically. They chose to re-evaulate their wedding day and what meant the most to them.... Family. They decided to have a very small, intimate wedding with only 16 guests which consisted of their immediate family and Grandparents only. Spending almost every minute they possibly could at the lake, it only seemed fitting to have their intimate wedding at Sam's family's lake cabin.

Their day started off with some of the strongest wind all Summer and bouts of downpour rain. After changing the ceremony spot 3 different times around the lake front and back of the property to help with the wind, they were so happy to see the rain had let up and the sun was working on peeking out.   When Danielle helped Sam put on his boutonniere, I joked "just like prom" :) They had just a few prom's together being High School Sweethearts.

Sam proposed on a family vacation to the Caribbean, so when we took their first group of photos, the wind had turned the lake into a teal-sea blue color.. it reminded of the Caribbean. I couldn't have asked for any better of a backdrop for their photos. To cap the night off, Sam took Danielle on a jet ski ride because a day at the lake wouldn't be complete without one.
